I’m Roos Seegers, born in 1998 and based in the Netherlands. My favourite unicycling disciplines are street, trial and flat, although I also really enjoy jumps. I learned to ride a unicycle when I was nine years old. At fourteen I discovered the urban discipline, and two years later I competed at Unicon 2016, the Unicycling World Championships. After the World Championships I started focusing on urban unicycling, and in 2017 I became European Champion in Street, Speed Trials and Long Jump on Pallets. In 2022 I became World Champion in Street, Flatland and Long Jump on Pallets, and in 2024 I once again won World Championship titles in Street, Speed Trials and Long Jump on Pallets. With Long Jump on Pallets I even broke a world record! At the end of 2024 I decided to step away from top-level competition. I want to focus more on my team and my business. I still ride with great pleasure, but I felt it was time to slow down a little.

I started Unicycle Forever because I want to show how cool urban unicycling is. I love inspiring people to do what they’re passionate about. My biggest goal is to get more girls involved in the sport, because I want to show that urban sports are for everyone. I graduated from ROC Sport & Bewegen (Sports and Exercise) and am a qualified sports teacher. I also hold a KNGU gymnastics diploma, so I have a solid background in gymnastics as well. I currently work in education and at an after-school care centre, with the aim of being there for every child and encouraging them to dream. I love helping children and adults believe in themselves, because everyone has a talent.
